Hike and Culture Journey 7 days

🕐 6N 7D📍 Thimphu,Punakha, Phobjikha, Paro

Overview

For travelers who want to experience the best of Bhutan without committing to a demanding high-altitude expedition, this 7-day Culture & Hike Trek offers the perfect balance — blending scenic day hikes with rich cultural immersion, all while returning to comfortable hotels each night. The journey begins in Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital, with a rewarding hike to Tango Monastery or Wangditse Goemba through peaceful pine forest, paired with visits to iconic sites like the Buddha Dordenma statue and the Takin Preserve. From there, the route continues toward Punakha, pausing along the way for a scenic hike to Lungchutse Monastery or Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, both rewarding hikers with sweeping valley and mountain views. In Punakha, explore the breathtaking Punakha Dzong, gracefully set at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers, and cross the country’s longest suspension bridge. The trip then continues to the tranquil Phobjikha Valley, home to a gentle walk along the Gangtey Nature Trail, winding through forest and open meadows overlooking this glacial valley — the winter home of the endangered black-necked crane.
